Ireland: Goodbye for Now

We did a lot in Ireland. Almost too much, there were things we cut out because we just had done so much in such a short amount of time and needed to slow down a bit. There is nothing wrong with taking a step back and relaxing a bit, whether that is on a trip or at home.

This trip was full of beauty, good food, great beer, and nice people. If you are interested is any specific part of our trip please feel free to use the table of contents below.

Cities

I don’t know if I had a favorite city. They were all walkable, had good food and were full of history.

Belfast City Hall

Wilderness Ireland Tour

Had we not gone through Wilderness Ireland we would not have gotten to go on these hikes and boat tour. We rarely use tour companies but the extra cost was 100% worth it for this trip.

Slieve Binnian

Natural Beauty

Natural wonders and awe inspiring views. Many of these locations I could have stayed at for hours, just relaxing and taking in the sights.

Geoff at the Giant’s Causeway

Museums and Shops

Keltin and I both enjoyed the museums and exhibits that we were able to visit. There are many that we did not have the opportunity to visit – such as the butter museum in Cork or the museum in Dublin with the giant red deer skeletons. We have a lot to see if we go back.

Long Room Library

Food and Beer

We ate a lot of good food on this trip. Honestly, we drank so much Guinness that we got tired of it, thankfully there is a plethora of good beer in Ireland.

Cask – Tapas Bar

Miscellaneous

A lot of time and planning when into this trip and I hope what I learned can help you in planning any trip.

Glenveagh Castle

Regional Literature

Note: I am still working my way through these books. Once I have read them I will link the reviews.

Ireland Vlog

If you prefer to watch instead of read, check out the videos below.

Conclusion

We had a magical time in Ireland. I would go back for a lot of reasons. The country is beautiful, the people are great, and there is so much that we didn’t get to see and do. That will always be the case, no matter where we go. I would love to know what you think of Ireland or if you would ever visit. Remember to leave no trace, safe travels, and I’ll see you on the next adventure.
