Northern Ireland: Bushmills Restaurant

Since we were staying at The Bushmills Inn they reached out directly to us to see if we wanted dinner reservations in the restaurant as they give guests the first priority. One thing we learned fairly quickly in Ireland is that they do things at a slower pace – including dinning. They don’t try and

Nebraska: Kinkaider Brewing Co.

While visiting Keltin’s brother on our way home we stopped for some local beer at Kinkaider Brewing. This is a great brewery that was started in Omaha, NE. We visited the Grand Island location. The food was just as good as the beer. Our Beer Flight: Devil’s Gap Jalapeno Ale (ABV 4.7%) – I’m not

After hiking the north rim at Black Canyon of the Gunnison, we headed farther north towards Aspen but on the way there we stopped at a place I had come across by accident: Big B’s Fruit Company in Hotchkiss, CO. I was looking for potential camp grounds near Aspen and found Big B’s. I swear

Wildflyer Mead Co.

Mead is delicious and one of my favorite things to do while traveling is visit local mead, beer, or wine makers. Wildflyer is a new mead company outside of Navasota, TX and it is wonderful. We stopped in at the gift shop first and bought some wonderful honey and seeds to start a pollinator garden

DFW Restaurant Review: Windmills

I don’t typically review local restaurants but I feel like this one deserves it and with less travel its good to explore our own backyards. I have visited twice within the last month and the food has been incredible both times. If you are visiting North Texas I highly recommend checking out Windmills. Its an
