Portland: Deschutes Brewery

When traveling I love to drink local. This time I will admit that we were engrossed in catching up with family and I didn’t take my usual notes. Despite that the food and the beer were both fantastic and we all cleaned our plates. Deschutes Brewery does get busy. We arrived just before the lunch rush and got a great table out on the patio.

The Brews

  • Rip City Lager – My favorite
  • Drop It Like It’s Cold IPA
  • Picking Up The Pieces
  • Sabro Colada
  • A Tale of Two Beers
  • N2 Black Buttle Porter Raspberry – Keltin’s favorite
The beers do rotate and not all are available at all times.

For lunch I went a different way and ordered a delicious vegetarian dish: Quinoa-black bean patty on focaccia bread with black bean chili on the side. On the waiter’s suggestion I got a side of their buffalo sauce. It add a nice bit of spice. I might have snagged a couple of Keltin’s French fries, the buffalo sauce is better than ketchup.

If you want good food and good beer check out Deschutes Brewery. Safe travels!
