During our exploration of downtown Pagosa Springs the wind began to really pick up so Keltin and I decided to duck into Riff Raff Brewing for a flight while the weather called down. The staff was really friendly and they were happy to chat with us. This was a quick visit for some good beer.

During this trip we actually stayed in Pagosa Springs and sadly we had forgotten our swim suits and were so busy that we did not enjoy any of the actual hot springs but we will make sure to do so on our next visit. We did enjoy wondering around the main tourist portion of Pagosa
After visiting Chimney Rock and lunch at Pagosa Brewing we made our way up to Creede for the rest of the day to explore the little mountain town. Our visit to Creede was similar to that of Silverton. We were there late in the season, there were few tourists, and the days were getting cooler.

Once as a child I rode the train from Durango to Silverton with my grandparents and sister. I have been there one other time after a pack trip with my dad and sister while still in high school – we rode horses and mules over the continental divide. Both of those times the town was
One of the things suggested by our new bookshop friend in Ouray was to visit Box Cañon Falls. This beautiful canyon is a short drive up the road and the trails are fairly easy. There were a ton of chipmunks on the trail but luckily we did not see any in the parking lot. Keltin
Colorado has a plethora of breweries and we actually visited two in Ouray. The first was for lunch, the second because of the name but more about that one later. We enjoyed lunch on the dog friendly patio of Red Mountain Brewing right on the main street. They don’t have a large beer list and
