Its a new year and we are going to start 2019 off right and that means its contest time!
I’ve been thinking about doing a contest for a while but I was never quite sure what to do. Well I have figured it out. I want hear your travel stories, or to be more precise I want to hear your favorite travel moment. That one memory that just stuck with you: good, bad, awe inspiring, heart breaking, or frightening I want hear it.
Rules
- To be eligible for this competition you must be subscribed to my blog either via WordPress or email.
- Leave your story or a link (preferred) to it in the comments.
- Your story must be travel moment no longer than 200 words.
- Only one submission per person please.
- All submissions must be in by January 31st, 2019.
Prizes
The first place winner of this travel moment contest will receive two prizes:
- Prize one: $10 to be paid through PayPal. I know the prize isn’t much but we are all broke writers here.
- Prize two: The story in question will be posted on my site and linked back to the winner.
Two runner ups will also have their stories posted and linked back to their blogs.
Scoring
I am going to use a point system to decide the winner:
- You will receive 2 points automatically for following my blog.
- You will receive another 2 points for sharing the contest on your your own blog or social media and linking back to my page.
- Your story will be rated on a 1-5 point scale based on staying within the parameters, details, easy of follow, and general creativity.
So what do you guys think? Are you ready to tell your story? I can’t wait to read them.

It was cold. Bitterly cold. The tip of my nose felt liable to crack off. With dreaded anguish, I threw myself out of bed and flinched as my feet hit the cold ground. My toes protested even within the fuzzy socks, I wore. I crossed the wooden floor that cracked with each step. With every step, I got closer to my goal, the fire place in which my fiancé stroked the fire happily. I sat down with a hot mug and smiled at him before turning my look to the windows and their frosty planes.
It was a wonderful day in Lake Arrowhead.

The most memorable trip was our road trip into Jasper Provincial park where we never knew where we were sleeping. We just drove around and wander into campgrounds to look for a site. We cooked with a portable stove and even cooked rice.
