By As you can probably tell from my Friday posts, I love to cook and I really love to use fresh herbs. But there are a couple of problems. First buying fresh herbs at the store is expensive. So I try and grow my own in the traditional planter boxes. Well I don’t exactly have a green thumb and am terrible about killing plants.
So Keltin decided that I needed a garden that would tell me when to water and feed it. That is an AeroGarden and he got me the one that can grow 9 different plants. These are nifty because in addition to herbs you can grow flowers, fruit such at strawberries, tomatoes, and peppers along with lettuce.
The set he got me came with 9 seed pods and food for them. Seriously this thing is great. All have to supply is water and power. Anyway I am currently growing: basil (2), Thai basil, thyme, dill, Italian parsley, curly parsley, mint, and chives.
Any, I’m having a ton of fun with this and cannot wait until I can start harvesting and using these herbs. I’ll post more pictures once they all grow a bit more. I will admit that it is a lot of fun to come home and see how much all my plants have grown over the day!

That’s really cool! I have a black thumb, lol. I can kill just about any plant just by sitting in the same room with it! Best of luck with your little garden!
