Keltin and I recently made a weekend trip up to Kansas for a good friend’s wedding. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast. On the drive up I insisted that we stop to take pictures if we saw anything neat. Well, not 5 minutes later we came across these old buildings and I couldn’t help myself.

Random fact: the iconic flora of the American West – the tumbleweed – is an invasive species also known as a Russian Thistle.
Do you like to stop and take pictures on road trips? Let me know and I’d love to see your pictures. Have a great weekend!

Great shots! What a beautiful sky for a backdrop in the last photo. Old buildings remind us that these places have a lot of history, even if the people who lived there are long gone.
