Just a few miles outside of Lindsburg is Coronado Heights. This park has a castle and a ton of stone picnic tables. The day we visited it was too hot to picnic as the table don’t have shade but the view from the roof of the castle is fantastic, a 360° of the surrounding countryside.

On our last morning in Wimberley we were up before sunrise so that we could climb the 218 steps up to the top of Old Baldy Mountain to see the dawn. This park sits in the middle of a neighborhood. So when you drive by homes on the way there don’t be surprised. Also, watch
