San Francisco: We Tried to Travel Slowly

I got my photos back! So if you read my book post you know that I was waiting on film photos so that I could finish my video. I did finish my video and then I took forever to post it here. Honestly, I get bust and forget where I’m at in my posting schedule because it’s not set in stone.

Something I learned from this trip, don’t book anything for the day you arrive. I booked the last tour of the day for Alcatraz island because we were supposed to get to San Francisco before 9AM. We didn’t arrive until almost 4PM and almost missed the tour. Thankfully, we did not.

Places We Visited

  • Alcatraz Island
  • The Golden Gate Bridge
  • All 5 miles of the Golden Gate Recreation Area
  • Palace of Fine Arts
  • A Bookshop
  • Cable Cars
  • Piers – Sea Lions
  • Lombard Street
  • Japan Center
  • Giant’s Baseball Game – They Won!

Cameras from this trip

  • Kodax Charmera – digital key chain camera
  • Pentax K1000 – 35mm film
  • Hasselblad 500CM -120 film
  • Pentax IQ Zoom 140 – point and shoot 35mm film

Dit we take to many cameras? Probably not, that’s only two each plus our phones.

Have you been to San Francisco? If so what did you think? Let me know in the comments. Safe travels.

  1. Lovely images, Laci. Looks like you had a good time despite the airport snafu. Airlines…don’t get me started on THAT topic. Grrr. At any rate, thank you for sharing many of the iconic places in the city by the Bay. SF is a wonderful place to visit-I was there in late spring and found it to be so cosmopolitan and fascinating. Some of my highlights included the amazing architecture, walking up and down the hills and hanging out along Pier 39 among many other things. It’s a very exciting city.
