China: Along the Yangtze: March 2016

There was something peaceful about being on the river boat. We were finally away from the large crowds and constant lights and traffic. Opaque and milky, the greenish-gray of jade, that’s how the waters of the Yangtze looked to me. There seemed to have always been a mist hanging over the river and the shore.

China: Bell and Drum Towers with Tea: March 2016

I hope that everyone has adjusted well to the time change. Happy Pie Day! Let us travel back to the beauty of China. After the a final ride in the rickshaws we visited the bell and drum towers. These towers signaled the open and closing of the city gates at one point in Beijing’s history.
