As we headed home from Fredericksburg, Keltin and I wanted to get one good hike in and it made since to find a park on the way home. We decided to stop by Pedernales Falls State Park. This is a very popular park and we managed to get in just before the park was closed
On the way to Walnut Canyon Cabins and walking distance from Alamo Springs Cafe is Old Tunnel State Park. This is a tiny state park, the smallest in Texas in fact, and is just over 16 acres. Old Tunnel is named for the old train tunnel that runs through the front portion of the park.
