Dinosaurs in the Garden

Grapevine was supposed to have a Jurassic Garden event at the botanic gardens – due to the pandemic it was rightly cancelled but we did get some pictures with the dinos before everything was closed.

They were still setting up for the event at the time so some of these dinosaurs were only partly put together – it made for some interesting photography.

I really love dinosaurs. Long distant giants that we can only guess at what they looked like. If you want you can check out my dinosaur dress and my review of Jurassic Park (the book).

I would have loved to have gone to the event but this little outing helped temporarily cure my need for dinosaurs. Here is to hoping the event gets rescheduled for this summer! Maybe I can see the tyrannosaur.

  1. Great pictures! When my kids were little I used to take them to the Science Place in Fair Park to see the dinosaurs – it was so funny.. their mixture of fascination, excitement and fear. One day, the dinosaurs were gone. The kids were disappointed but they got over it. We went outside to eat our lunch. In front of our table was a big pile of something under canvas. One kid raised a corner and discovered the dinosaurs disassembled under the tarp. They were so, so upset.
