It has been a while since I have been to a street festival and one of my favorite ones is finally here! I really like GrapeFest because it gives me the chance to try wines that I wouldn’t typically buy along with wondering the festival and listening to a variety of live music. This year I changed it up a bit and sampled a small but tasty variety of champagne.

GrapeFest gets quite busy on Saturday and Sunday but earlier in the week the crowd is more than manageable. When going make sure to follow the signs to parking and if you can’t park in a close lot they will bus you right to the gate for free.

I sampled three different types of champagne:
- Vida Gran Cuvee Reserve – Spain – this was the typical pale color with hits of apple and pear.
- Conumdrum Rose – California – a wonderful rose, a little on the dryer side with hints of strawberries.
- Gruner Veltliner Brut – Austria – the color of sunshine with mellow citrus notes and a hint of sweet
