Keltin and I love to get out on the trail and taking Bear out to explore. We also love finding local trails and recently discovered Horseshoe Trail just a few miles from our place. This is a fairly busy hiking and biking trail that gives you plenty of shade and occasional views of the lake.

This is a fairly well marked trail but there are unoffical trails where people have gone off roading a bit and those can lead to some confusion.

Dogs are allowed on this trail but they must be kept on a leash. There are trash cans where the trail crosses a utility road, so plenty of places to dump their business.

There aren’t many benches on this trail but one of the ones we came across early was a perfect spot to stop and enjoy some breakfast. We finished off the last of my lemon-blueberry bread.

We really enjoyed this trail. It was busy but it was a nice and easy hike that was a perfect way to start off the weekend. Please remember to leave nature better than you found it. What is your favorite local trail? Safe Travels!
