I had so much fun with the Italian street art both good, bad, ancient and new that I decided that this week to show off some of the street signs. Some are more antique and some are down right odd. Not sure why but I love odd signs, they make the normal amusing.
I’m going to apologize for the blurriness of some of these pictures. I was not the photographer then that I am now.
Not quite ancient but definitely an antique. Construction… I think. Road work with a bit of graffiti. I honestly have no idea what this sign means. If you know please enlighten me. The road splits up ahead and I think this sign is clever.
What do you think about these signs? Where have you been that you have seen some interesting ones? One of my favorites was in Colorado, but that’s another story.
Texas born, I grew up hunting and fishing. Now I love travel and cooking, a good beer and a great story. People are their stories and I hope to share mine. I have a ridiculously adorable canine companion named Bear, a supportive family, and a wonderful husband.

The signs in Florence te some of my favorite subjects as well. Those ones with the clouds, zippers, and the shadow characters were an unauthorized installment by an artist. He has a studio and you can by stickers, magnets, or prints of any of them. It’s on the east side of the Arno in the San Niccolo neighborhood. 😃
