Weekend Wandering: Basketball

Keltin‘s degree is in broadcasting and he particularly loves sports broadcasting. Even though he doesn’t do it full time any longer he will occasionally get calls from friends in the business when they need additional help covering games. These are college games, mostly basketball or volleyball.

I’m not really interested in watching the games but I enjoy watching Keltin work and listening to his play-by-play of the game. Funny story, I was sitting and reading my book while the game was going on and the mascot for the home team was wandering the stands. He comes over to me and mimes asking me why I am reading when there is a game going on! Yes I got shamed for reading by the owl mascot.

After the game we went for Thai food off the square and it was a nice, if chilly afternoon in Denton.
