Exploring the Places No One is Talking About
After visiting the Keystone Gallery and Historic Scott Lake State Park we headed to Scott City and visited the El Quartelejo Museum. This museum tells the history of the area surrounding Scott City – from prehistoric times to the present. The museum is free to visit and is open Tuesday through Saturday 1pm to 5pm.
After visiting the Keystone Gallery we headed to Historic Scott Lake State Park. There is a day pass fee of $5 per vehicle to visit Scott Lake. Visitors can camp and hike at this state park. We particularly went to visit the El Cuartelejo site. This is the site of “the remains of the northernmost
