Central Kansas: Road Trip Part III

This stop on the road trip wasn’t actually in Kansas but in Oklahoma. We stopped at Pops in Arcadia, Oklahoma off of Route 66. If you can imagine a soda flavor, they have it. Keltin and I aren’t big soda drinkers but we couldn’t resist creating our own six pack of interesting flavors.

At night this giant soda bottle lights up to act as a beacon, calling all those who desire to try the unique sodas.

Our Soda Choices!

  • Virgil’s Handcrafted Black Cherry – can I love the color and the flavor?
  • State Fair Soda Rocket Bomb Pop – probably my favorite but I felt like I was drinking Fallout’s Nuka-Cola!
  • W.T. Heck Dill Pickle
  • Serenity Sodas Pineapple & Cream – delicious
  • Route Beer 66
  • Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer

We also grabbed a couple for the rest of the drive home.

The strawberries ‘n cream was excellent. The bacon soda was odd but not bad, it tasted a bit like candied bacon with a bit of smoke. This was the last stop on our road trip before getting home and it sure was a sweet one! Have you ever tried any unique sodas? Let me know in the comments. Safe travels!

  1. Wow! I had no idea there were so many different kinds of soda! This sounds like such a great trip I would love to try out all the flavours.
