January Book Haul

So I have been in a reading slump lately, but I picked up some new books at a used book sale at Recycled Books that will hopefully help get me out of this.

The Ice Dragon by George R. R. Martin

This is actually intended as a children’s book but I couldn’t pass is up. Just look at that cover and the illustrations inside are simple and beautiful.

Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman

This is one of the few Neil Gaiman book that I have not read. I was really excited to find a copy. I’m not a big fan of spiders which is actually why I haven’t read it yet. Hoping to change that.

The Hob’s Bargan by Patricia Briggs

I’ve read a few Patricia Briggs books – mostly the Mercy Thompson series. This book is one of her older stories and is a stand alone novel and not part of a series.

I also picked up a couple of book on Keltin’s to read list.

Paperbacks from Hell by Grady Hendrix

A couple of years ago Keltin and I went to a author reading of this book and it was hilarious and informative and looks at the horror genre 70’s and 80’s. After Keltin finishes this book I may have to read it too.

Theodore Rex by Edmund Morris

Keltin loves biographies and this book is actually the second in a series of biographies about Theodore Roosevelt by Morris. Roosevelt was an impressive man both in and out of office.

What books are you excited to read?
