Belize: Ramon’s Village Resort

When we were planning this trip, along with finding reasonably priced flights, we needed to find a reasonably priced resort. We decided on a resort early on because we wanted access to the amenities. After a lot of research and a few recommendations we settled on Ramon’s Village.

The view that greats you at Steve & Becky’s.

We actually stayed at their sister property, Steve & Becky’s, but it is literally across the street from Ramon’s and we were able to use all the amenities at main resort. We decided to get a room that was not on the water but we were less that a three minute walk from the beach. Our room was our own little bungalow with two queen beds and a wonderful a/c that managed to combat the humidity.

The front desk staff knew us by name and the restaurant staff knew us by sight. The food at Pineapples was consistently good and Brooke fell in love with their ceviche. The resort serves beer and wine but does not serve liquor. They do have a smoothie bar and the bar tender loaned me the aloe vera they keep behind the bar after I got sunburned fishing. That one small act alone made me love the staff. The staff is great overall and made the experience wonderful, they would also joke with us.

Not the local brew but my favorite beer in the Caribbean.

All of the excursions we planned outside of the resort for diving and fishing picked us up off the dock of Ramon’ s and dropped us back off after long but wonderful days.

Ramon’s is also a dive resort but I’ll give more details about that aspect of the resort when I get to the Blue Hole. If you are looking for a great resort when visiting Belize I would highly suggest checking out Ramon’s Village.
