Greek Mythology Book Tag

I saw this tag on Sereadipity and as a lover of Greek Mythology and books I had to do it.

ZeusFavorite book

This is difficult so I’m going to list a couple in my top five: The Hobbit and Jurassic Park.

PoseidonA book that drowned you in feels

Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller actually made me cry even though I knew going in how Achilles’ story was going to end.

HadesFavorite dark book

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab.

Hera: Cutest couple

I’m not sure Hera is the best goddess to represent the cutest couple but okay. My favorite couple would have to be Tavi and Kitai. They have rough patches but they are a solid couple that respects each other for how they are.

AthenaFavorite intelligent heroine

Hermione from Harry Potter. Seriously, Harry and Ron would not have gotten far without her.

Gaea: Favorite world building book

I’m just going to give this all to Tolkien.

Aphrodite: Most gorgeous cover

This cover from Uprooted by Naomi Novik

AresMost violent book you’ve read

I have been thinking on this for a few days and can’t come up with an answer I like. I read a lot of books with violence and might be a bit desensitized from it.

HephaestusHottest book you’ve ever read

I’m going to go with one of the few romance books I’ve ever read here because well there are giant fire-breathing cats and well plenty of heat in other areas: The Tairen Soul Book.

ArtemisA heroine who doesn’t need a man to save her

Kitai from Codex Alera. I pretty sure she does plenty of saving.

ApolloA book that is an exception to a genre you don’t usually like

I read Pegasus by Robin Mckinley a while before I started this blog. It was a good book but not one that stuck with me.

HermesA book that stole your heart

I recently read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and despite the fact that it took me a while to read the characters did manage to snag my heart.

HestiaA book you go back to for comfort

I started reading the Tortall books by Tamora Pierce as a kid in middle school and I still love rereading them as an adult.

DemeterFavorite book setting

Rivendell, can I just hangout in the hall of fire and listen to Elven songs and stories?

☆ DionysusA book you are most anticipating in the next year

I don’t actually have one at the moment. I’ve actually been working on reading some older books.

☆ HecateFavourite magical read

I have a weakness for The Legend of Drizzt. That whole world has its own magic.

☆ NemesisFavourite revenge story

I don’t have one. I’m aware that that is not a good answer but I don’t.

I hope you enjoyed this tag! I’m not going to tag anyone in particular but if you are interested please feel free to do this tag. Happy reading!
