Paperback Perils: Current Reading

I have not finished a book this week. In my defense I have been out of town with little time to read. Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting all my Labor Day adventures from Dodge City to Capulin Volcano and other chaos in between. Anyway, here is what I have been reading in my down time.

Friday Night Lights

By: H.G. Bissinger

My boyfriend and I decided to try something new. We switched books; I’m reading one of his and he is reading one of mine. This experiment is interesting because we are reading texts that we wouldn’t normally. He is reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Friday Night Lights is really well written but I have to take it in small doses because there is so much football, as I expected.

A World Worth Seeing

By: Brian Nelson

This is a book I was sent recently. It is a short book filled with travel advice and tells the average person why it is worth it to travel. Nelson tells us what the world has to offer.

I know this is a short post, I’ve got to get back on the road. Home is waiting and as much as I love travel I do get to missing my own bed.
