Paperback Perils: Current Reading

Thank you everyone that joined my Blog Party over the weekend! If you haven’t visited it yet please feel free. Add the link to your blog and check out all of the other wonderful ones in the comments.

I did not finish a book last week but I figured I would tell you what I am currently reading.

Spinning Silver

By: Naomi Novik

This book is about a moneylender’s daughter and how she take up her father’s trade. It has not gone as expected and I love it for that. This story has kept me wrapped around its finger. Spinning Silver was actually my July book from Book of the Month. I am almost done reading it and should have a review for you next Monday.

How Fiction Works

By: James Wood

Keltin has been listening to the Binge Mode Harry Potter podcast and in that podcast they mention this book. Since we are both writers and lovers of fiction he decided to grab a copy for me from the local library. I have not read much of it yet but what I have read has been interesting. The only part that I’ve gotten through is how different scholars look at fiction.

Have you read either of these books? What do you think about them? Let me know in the comments along with telling me what you are currently reading. Have a great Monday.
