This was a forgotten post. Back in August, I sprained my ankle bad enough to be on crutches and in a brace. Two weeks later, we went to visit friends in Amarillo for a trip we had already planned. Thankfully I was off the crutches but I was still in a brace and hobbling around at a slow place.
Originally, I had wanted to go hiking in Palo Duro Canyon but that wasn’t going to happen. Instead we took our time and drove around the park stopping to take some photos of the beautiful colors. I did wonder a bit but not too far from the car – it was too hot!
The photos below were taken by my wonderful husband on a Rollicord camera on 120 film. I do love how the canyon looks on film.

What things have you done with injuries that you probably shouldn’t have? Let me know in the comments and safe travels.

Palo Duro is our favorite Texas state park and our favorite place to camp. Luckily it’s only two hours from home. Your photos captured the beauty of the canyon so well.

Thank you! My husband actually took these, I was trying to not mess up my ankle more. I love visiting Palo Duro as well.
