Hello from Colorado! Well, not today, this trip has ended but the memories made were fantastic. This trip started because we were finally going to be able to have a family reunion with my husband’s family. It was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid. We couldn’t go to Colorado just for a weekend though so we decided to make it a week long road trip to cross off some of the must see things in Colorado.

In this series we are going to look at not only some beautiful places in and around the Rockies but also gear reviews for things that we upgraded for this and future trips. The book I found for this trip’s regional literature selection has stolen has stolen my heart. Not only is it a wonderful read but it is filled with recipes that I cannot wait to try.

Before buckling up if you want road trip tips check out my downloadable Road Trip PDF here with everything from packing for you and your dog to finding a great place to stay. I’d love to know your favorite road trip memories or trips, if you want to share I’ll see you in the comments. Safe travels and remember to leave no trace.
Thank you KW Photography for allowing me to use your wonderful photos!
English Lake District. My first proper holiday and a road trip (by UK standards) as it took 8 hours to get there so it actually felt like two days. For a beagle such as myself, the scents and sights that hit me when I was allowed out were mind blowing. Mountains and lakes as far as I could see. Fields cut by drystone walls, woods and forests housing all manner of birds and creatures. I’m looking forward to hearing all about Colorado.
