Backroads: Stop No. 9 Henrietta, Texas

We stopped here for two reasons gas and dinosaurs. There are a strangely large number of dinosaur figures on the sides of Texas roads or in fields. We must have an odd love of dinosaurs. There is a green brachiosaurus somewhere off HW 287 and recently while hiking down near Navasota, TX we went past a number of large plots of land with cattle, horses, and various random dinosaur statues staring out towards the road.

I kept expecting the dinos to move. Thankfully they did not. This stop is nothing crazy, it is just a great place to stop and stretch your legs while enjoy what long past animals might have looked liked. Safe travels!
