Olympic Peninsula: Fir Haven Retreat

When planning our wedding and honeymoon we split the work. Keltin took the honeymoon and I planned the wedding. We would get things okayed by the other before making a final decision but all the research was done by one or the other. Keltin found this adorable Airbnb. We wanted something that allowed us to escape and this Fur Haven Retreat defiantly allowed for that.

View from the front porch.

This cabin was perfect for social distancing. No people around for several acres. This is a two bedroom, one bath cottage with a full kitchen and it is adorable. There are a number of plants to brighten up the space made warm by blanks and fall themed decorations. There is no TV but there is wifi. But better than wifi, the cabin has games to enjoy such as cribbage and chess along with some things to do outside like enjoy the firepit or play cornhole. There is also a whole corner bookshelf with everything from classics to local nature guides. The indoor wood burning stove was perfect for chilly fall nights.

Smaller second bedroom.

The property is located half way between Port Angeles and Sequim. This cottage is on 40 acers with trails for a little bit of a nature walk and the host does provide a map. There was a little bit of construction near the road from the highway but the host provided instructions on how to get around it.

Table overlooking the property.

We really loved staying here, it was a beautiful place to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring Olympic National Park. If you are ever looking for a place to stay I highly suggest Fir Haven!
