Hiking Eisenhower State Park

Like I said in my original post about Eisenhower State Park, we didn’t get to do nearly as much hiking as we would have liked due to the trails being super muddy but we did get a bit in and the trails over looking the lake are gorgeous!

The non-muddy portions of the trail were hard packed dirt or rocky. Fairly flat trails with some small inclines. Overall nothing too strenuous. The trails are well marked and easy to navigate with plenty of parking at the trail heads.

We did not see a ton of wildlife but this mallard and his mate had no problem with us being close and taking pictures. We did hear a pack of coyotes howling late at night.
