Keltin has wanted to learn to smoke meat for a while and recently added the smoker attachment to our grill. After getting some pork ribs he decided this was the perfect time to start. But he didn’t know what to put on them. I actually had very little to do with this recipe besides helping to figure out the spice rub because, well I have a good idea what I have in the spice cabinet. After some searching of the web we figured out a good blend of spices.

Rib Rub:
- 1/4 C. Brown Sugar
- 2 Tsp. Smoked Salt
- 2 Tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 Tsp. Ground Mustard
- 1/2 Chai Spice (or Cinnamon)
- 1/2 Tsp. Cummin
- 1/4 Tsp. Cayenne Powder

In the end flavor was really good but some of the ribs were a bit dry but those were the ones on the small end. We will probably also add a bit more cayenne pepper next time for a bit more heat.

If you like to smoke meat, any tips or preferred recipes for rubs or sauces? Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Oh, that looks very tempting! 😋
