Last night made me wish that I had a telescope as I watched the eclipse from my back patio. Bear exploring the yard under the fading silver-white light. It also made me think and write a bit. This poem is rough but I captures my feelings from last night.
The wind in the trees
And the stars up above
Cold air filling my lungs
Silver light fading
Moon turns to blood.
With a dog at my side
I wish for a fire
To warm the frosty night
as the moon turns to blood.
With an eclipse up above
Something primal
Runs through my blood.

Thank you! Yes it was cold, I didn’t watch as much as I would have liked to either.
