Fort Worth Nature Center on 35mm

I decided to test out some specialty kind of 35mm film. This is not an ad, just me being curious. The film I shot is called Dubblefilm Jelly 200ios. Dubblefilm makes color film that then has a unique color wash over it and every photo comes out differently. Jelly has multiple different colors: red, yellow, blue, green. These colors mix in some fantastic ways.

This isn’t film I will use constantly. Yes, it is pretty but it is expensive film – like $22 a roll for 36 shots v. $7-$8 a roll for my favorite black and white film. That being said I want to shoot this film again at a fair or at a beach and maybe push the iso from 200 to 400iso to see what I can do. I love nothing if not a good experiment.

Past Fort Wort Nature Center:

This is what happens when there is not enough light. Instead of darkness you get color blobs. Defiantly not what I was going for but still neat in its own way. This picture was supposed to be of a horse – you can see her ears.

What do you think of this colorful film? Do you think the extra colors add to the photos or do you think they distract? Is this film you would use? Let me know in the comments! Safe travels and happy holidays! Remember to leave no trace.
