Summer Hikes: Fort Worth Nature Center – Bear and I

For those that are curious as to the reason for the disruption of my normal posting schedule.
Writing Update: The first draft is complete! Holy cow I wrote over 70,000 words for one draft. Truth be told, it is still a bit mind boggling. Is it perfect? Heck no, not at all but my wonderful husband and friends are happy to tell me where it’s lacking and what they like. The important part is that it is written, the ideas are out of my head and on paper (literally, I printed a copy for Keltin to edit – it’s a lot). If you are curious, it is a much expanded version of this short pieces from writing group.

Earlier this summer Bear and I went hiking at the Fort Worth Nature Center. This is a favorite hiking spot with at least a little bit of elevation (but not much). I finally got my film developed from the hike and Bear is looking cute. Enjoy Bear being in the spotlight and some of the wildlife we spotted while I freak out over editing my manuscript and get busy editing some very delayed videos.

Also, I want it noted that I did managed to get stabbed by a yucca on this hike and bled way more than I should have from a seemingly tiny prick. So, beware of the plant life, it is as dangerous as the wildlife. Safe travels and leave no trace.
