Arizona: Exploring Phoenix

On our last morning in Phoenix explored a bit. Of course, we had to check out a local book store and found Changing Hands bookstore. Yes, I did get a regional literature book but I haven’t finished it quite yet but I will post a review once I do.

We also found some really neat street art. The coolest was probably the yarn bombing. Most of the time I love black and white photos but these trees are a riot of color. Thankfully I did get the color on video. This is somewhere on Grand Ave and if my research is correct this section of street has been decorated in yarn for a couple of years.

Yarn Bombing (noun): the action or activity of covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted or crotcheted material, as a form of street art.

The video is set to start at the street art and yarn bomb.

This was a fun and lighthearted way to end our first visit to Phoenix. Have you ever seen yarn bombing as a form of street art? Let me know in the comments!
