I’m a bit behind on my posts. This was a Getaway trip from this spring. We wanted a relaxing weekend and a rainy one was perfect. We expected some rain but a thunderstorm with those big windows in the cabin was a bit wild. Bear was not a fan of the thunder and it made him rather cuddly.
This was one of those weekends where we took time to enjoy nature, hot tea, delicious food, and a good book. Nothing was structured and we unplugged as much as possible. I like camping in a tent, hearing the wind and the sound of animals but there is nothing wrong with a little glamping. An escape into nature is good for the soul no matter how you choose to sleep.
How do you prefer to camp? Let me know in the comments. Safe travels and leave no trace.

Camping sounds like such fun and then reality says you’re going to have to deal with non-stop dirt, obscene bed head, and poking pine needles in places you don’t want to get poked. Yeah, I’d probably be better and just admit I’m more of a “Marriott” camper who prefers day forays in hikes among the quiet solitude and beauty of the woods. LOL

Wonderful video. The little cabin reminded me of tiny houses that were featured on a documentary on minimalism. I must say, I’ve never seen anyone fry an egg within a slice of toast before!

Egg-in-a-hole are so good! I love them with micro greens when I can find them.
