Paperback Perils: March Reading List

It has been a while since I have posted books on my to read list and I figured that it was time to do another one. There are two books, at the moment, on my March list.

The City of Brass

By: S.A. Chakraborty

This is actually my December Book of the Month book. I’m a bit embarrassed by how slow I have been reading lately but better late than never. The City of Brass is about a young con artist living in Cairo in the 18th century who accidentally summons a djinn. From this moment she is plunged into the world of the djinn. More details forthcoming in my review of the book. I’m excited to read it, everything I’ve heard says that this is an excellent story.

A Darker Shade of Magic

By: V. E. Schwab

I have not heard much about this book but on a couple of different trips to the bookstore the cover did its job and caught my eye. The synopsis grabbed my attention and here is to hoping that the story draws me in. Kell has the ability to travel between parallel Londons: Red, Grey, White, and at one time Black. He is a smuggler who shows people a glimpse of worlds they would not normally ever be able to see. This is unofficial job has dangerous consequences as Kell will see.

I can’t wait to see what treasures this books have in store for me to find. As always, if you have book suggestions please feel free to share. Happy reading!

Also, if you enjoy my blog please consider buying me a cup of coffee.
