Cimarron National Grassland

So years ago and I’m taking when Keltin and I first started dating, we visited the Cimarron National Grassland. I wanted to go back and explore a bit more. Over the holidays, Bear and I had a chance to go out to the grasslands and we had a good – if windy day – exploring. I will note that towards the end of our time there we ended up in a sticker patch and that was not fun. Thankfully Bear was a good boy while I pulled all the stickers out. I have now learned that pliers and tweezers are now adventure requirements.

What are some things that you have added to your hiking pack over the years? Let me know in the comments and safe travels!

35MM Film Photos

These were taken on a Pentax k1000 50mm lens, the film is Kentmere Pan 400 +1 stop. I’m honestly really happy with these photos. It was so windy I has having to hold my glasses onto my face, so the fact that these came out not too blurry is a win.

Santa Fe Trail Locations…

…kind of. I never intended to dive deep into Santa Fe Trail history and historic sites. That being said, I am an opportunistic learner. If the information is there, I want to know about it. If a location is there, I want to visit it. History is fascinating and needs to be remembered. This is also why random facts tend to rattle around my brain. I have done a number of posts over the years about Santa Fe Trail locations. The most comprehensive post is the first one but the others are interesting as well.
