Pilot Knoll Trail on 35mm

In a continuation of the Dubblefilm Jelly experiment I took my camera on the Pilot Knoll Trail. There are some good examples here about how sometimes there is a ton of added color and sometimes the pictures come out with almost no extra color. I really love the pictures of the trails – especially the second one – I think the red tint adds a creepy vibe to an otherwise bright day.

Note on the film: I bought the film roll at a shop that sells it locally ($22 per roll). Technically the film is less expensive to buy it online ($15-$16) but after adding in shipping I bet the cost is about the same. That being said this film is made in a 400iso version as well if you want a more light sensitive film.

The only picture I really wish had more of the added color is the flower photo. I think the photo turned out well, the flower is in focus but it feels boring and I wish it had more color. I guess that means I’ll have to shoot this film this spring.

Dubblefilm Series:

I’m really enjoying this film. Something that I have learned is that I need to add a level to my camera gear, more of my pictures than I would like are at a slant. Oh well, I’ll learn. Are there any fun hiking trails near you? Let me know in the comments. Leave no trace and safe travels!
