Washington: Orcas Island

Here is a little bit of a sneak-peek from our trip to Orcas Island earlier this summer. I will post more as I have time. Despite the time it takes to get there I would 100% go back in a heartbeat. Orcas is one of the San Juan Island. To get there: fly into Seattle, take a car to Anacortes, and then a ferry to the islands.

Fun fact: yes, Orcas do live in the waters surrounding the San Juan Islands. No, Orcas Island is not named for these demons from the deep. I do adore Orcas and learned lots of facts about them on this trip. See how the islands got their current names here.
