Berlin: Hotel

One comment

When planning this trip I had no idea where to stay. For our visit to Valencia, we were able to get suggestions from my sister’s university but I was flying blind on this leg of the trip. Keltin requested that we stay near to the Brandenburg Gate. I will admit that I used that as a parameter to narrow my search. I found the Arte Luise Kunsthotel. We liked it. It wasn’t a super fancy hotel but it was close to the Reichstag Building and near the Tiergarten.

The hotel did work with the restaurant next-door if you wanted breakfast but I’m not sure it was worth the cost. It wasn’t bad but the options were limited. The only odd thing, and this maybe a German hotel thing, was that the showers had soap but no shampoo. This wasn’t big deal, we easily found a shop within walking distance that sold bathroom toiletries but the word ‘shampoo’ was not in the conversational German Keltin had been learning. We ended up using Google Translate to find what we needed. All in all this was a comfortable and centrally located hotel.
